On a frigid Sunday morning, children's special trek was organized to fortress Korigad, located near Amby Valley, Lonavla.
It took an hour for the group to ascend the top of the fort. The climb is not much puffing once you reach stairs leading to the apex of the fort. The top view of the fort offers stunning views of Amby Valley. The fort has humongous land area with Koraidevi temple, canons besides the temple, and a beautiful lake.
It took another hour to roam around the vast fort. After lunch, the group descended at the base in half an hour. The experience for all members especially the kids was quite pleasant as the climb was not so exhausting and the area over the fort and the view it offered was overwhelming.
